The Context
Much of my production work has been driven by a commitment to spotlighting stories that centre culture, community, and creative excellence. I’ve worked across both organisational and independently produced content, partnering with institutions like Black Cultural Archives, and creating original series like Angie’s Book Club to bring meaningful, timely conversations to audiences.
Operating outside of traditional broadcaster infrastructure, many of these productions relied on small teams, tight turnarounds, and high expectations — particularly when managing high-profile guests, talent teams, and publisher relationships.
My Role
Across each of these projects, I served as producer — leading talent booking, guest briefing, publisher and publicist liaison, artist care, crew and tech management, and end-to-end delivery. For Angie’s Book Club, I developed the format, sourced the venues, created the artwork, managed the post-production process, and delivered final content ready for online release.
A standout moment was securing and producing an interview with actor and activist Kerry Washington, approached directly by the publisher during her global book campaign. I managed the negotiation, scheduling, logistics, and production with full creative control.
The Journey
These productions required deep multitasking, high emotional intelligence, and cultural sensitivity — particularly when working with talent at different stages of their public journeys. Managing diaries, securing locations, maintaining editorial integrity, and delivering polished, on-brand outputs within independent structures demanded flexibility, foresight, and calm under pressure.
I’m especially proud of the trust I was able to build — with agents, publicists, institutional partners, and artists — creating spaces where each guest felt heard, respected, and held.
The Result
The interviews and events I’ve produced have helped deepen cultural conversation, create visibility for powerful voices, and establish trusted spaces for dialogue. I’ve produced for global talent and leading thinkers, built strong relationships with publishers and institutions, and delivered thoughtful, high-quality content that reflects the calibre of the people involved.
This work sits at the intersection of storytelling, logistics, and culture — and that’s where I thrive.
