Today I was on location in my mode as Publicist for the latest Theatre Peckham project and it was the first time I’d ever been to Peckham Rye station and I’ve lived in South on and off for 30 years plus.
What I love about Peckham is that it retains its authentic, deeply African and Caribbean background. If Blackity Black Black was a place it would be Peckham into Camberwell. There’s something to be said about feeling a sense of belonging; the food the people, the products only Black people would get. It makes you feel like you’re part of an exclusive club.
